Title (Max 100 Characters)
The CANs for Kids Holiday Can and Bottle Drive will continue on Sunday when kids will get a chance to meet LEGO Santa.
CANs for Kids will be having a lunch with LEGO Santa on Sunday, December 16. LEGO Santa will have two seatings, one at 11 a.m. and another at noon at UNO Chicago Grill in Victor. Adults are $16.99 and children are $9.99. Each child will receive a LEGO candy cane ornament, and the first 100 kids who donate bags of returnable cans and bottles will get an ArtsROC holiday gift bag.
Reservations are required for the event. You can make reservations at the ArtsROC website. All proceeds will go to CANsforKids.
LEGO Santa will also be accepting cash donations at the Rochester Lancers' game on Saturday, December 15.
You can also donate cans and bottles to the Henrietta Redemption Center anytime in December, and tell them you're donating to CANS for Kids.
On Saturday, December 8 the drive raised more than $1,000 for CANs for Kids's arts-in-education programs at the ArtsROC School of Arts, Music and Language.
“By the end of the month we hope to reach our goal of $5,000,” said CANs for Kids founder, 14-year-old Alia Bajorek, a Pittsford Sutherland High School freshman.
With some help from her mom Bajorek has already raised more than $5,000 for Ronald McDonald House, The Salvation Army and Hillside Children's Center since 2009.
