St. John Fisher students celebrate Valentine's Day with residents at the Friendly Home | Community Service
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Valentine's Day is one of the most cherished days at the Friendly Home in Pittsford. That's because they celebrate their Sweetheart Ball.
This year, students from St. John Fisher College joined in on the dancing.
Students showed up early to decorate the auditorium in pink and red and a student DJ was on hand to deliver new and old favorites.
"We get to celebrate it with them. Something they probably celebrated with other people before. So they don't have to spend it alone, we get to be here with them which is really special to use too," said Jessica Pulver, Fisher student. "They put a lot of pressure on you to dance good, they always want to dance and they were probably like really good dancers one day and we try."
A pair of professional ballroom dancers also showed up to teach the Fox Trot, the Cha Cha and other dances.
