Local company helps restore high school science wing | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
A local company is helping a high school restore its science wing after it was destroyed during a recent break-in.
Police say 18-year-old Adam Putz, a senior at Brighton High School, was responsible for causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage, including damage to the school’s science wing.
When Ward’s Natural Science in Rochester heard what happened, they wanted to help. They donated over $7,000 worth of supplies. Things such as calculators, thermometers, triple beam balances, assorted beakers and cylinders. These were all the things that were damaged, broken or stolen during the break-in.
Ward’s Natural Science, which was founded in 1862, sells and distributes science education materials.
