Bop Shop marks grand re-opening today | News
A decades-old brand in Rochester, The Bop Shop, is hosting its grand re-opening today in its new Brighton store.
The event will be held from noon to five at 1460 Monroe Ave., with in-store specials, live entertainment, snacks and celebration.
The Bop Shop opened nearly 30 years ago with a location at Village Gate in downtown Rochester. Drawing international claim among collectors and specializing in blues, jazz and American roots music, The Bop Shop nearly closed its doors for good after redevelopment plans ended its lease term.
The store specializes in unique vinyl orders, like those off independent labels from the 60s and 70s, and also features a varietal collection of rare CDs.
